Pineapple, Banana, and Cacao Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks
  • 1 ripe frozen banana
  • 1 tablespoon raw cacao powder 
  • 1 greek yogurt (or any other dairy-free yogurt)
  • 1/2 cup blanched spinach or kale
  • 1 tablespoon moringa powder 
  • 2 tablespoons soaked chia seeds
  • A handful of ice cubes (optional, if not using frozen pineapple)

Instructions

  1. Blend the Smoothie:
    • In a blender, combine the pineapple chunks, banana, cacao powder, spinach/kale, moringa powder and Greek yogurt.
    • For a colder smoothie, add a handful of ice cubes.
  2. Blend Until Smooth:
    • Blend on high until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. If the smoothie is too thick, add some filtered water until you reach your desired consistency.
  3. Serve:
    • Pour the smoothie into glasses and serve immediately. 
    • Add the chia seeds in now and mix well. 
    • You can garnish with a sprinkle of cacao powder or a few pineapple chunks, nuts on top if you like.

Tips

  • Frozen Fruit: Using frozen pineapple and banana can give your smoothie a creamier texture without the need for ice.
